Gillett Associates was contracted to design a speculative office / research building and, later, worked with Cobasys to upfit the building to accommodate their extensive research and testing needs. Currently, the facility includes environmental testing chambers, air and waste water systems, chemical processing and handling systems, controlled environment laboratories, and office space.Cobasys is a world leader in providing integrated energy storage solutions for transportation and stationary applications.
OSMIC Advanced Materials and Technology Center
Auburn Hills, Michigan
Provide a new expanded office and research facility for the development and production of x-ray and neutron multilayer coatings, optics, and instruments. These high quality performance products are in use worldwide in the semiconductor, manufacturing, medical diagnostics and therapy industries. This new facility includes an unusual and interesting “egg-shaped” lobby, a glass curtain wall system that flanks the face of the building at the first and second floor offices, and a lab/research area almost entirely surrounded by windows. A unique sculptural water feature is a main focal point at the main entry to the facility.
Continental-Teves
Auburn Hills, Michigan
Continental-Teves, a Tier One automotive supplier, enlisted Gillett Associates to design their North American headquarters and development center. The building consists of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness(NVH) labs, brake dynamometers, an ABS lab, sensor labs, chassis/powertrain labs, metrology lab, and multiple office spaces.
